Dear Readers,
I wish you all a Happy New Year.
Recently there was too much information about the guitar and too little about English. I am sorry for that. The classical guitar is one of my great passions so I decided to start a new blog:
https://theguitarfromscratch.blogspot.com/
I am still going to carry on with English with George (Angielski z George'em).
Since now then you can expect more English lessons, grammar topics and vocabulary exercises and explanations.
Stay with me then and once again have a Happy New Year.
George

Milonga Jorge Cardoso
I have published recently, a day ago to be specific, a beautifu music by Jorge Cardoso. Well, I am not saying I play beautifully. I am saying the music is beautiful, not necessarily my performance.
Here you can watch it and comment if you wish
And here is the same composition played by the composer himself
Who is J. Cardoso?
Here is a quotation from Wikipedia:
"Jorge Cardoso [full name: Jorge Ruben Cardoso Krieger] (born 26 January 1949) is a classical guitarist, composer, researcher, medical doctor (National University of Cordoba, Argentina) and teacher (Madrid Royal Conservatory). He has performed in Europe, America, Asia and Africa, and has frequently participated in international festivals, conferences, seminars, radio and television."

Greetings from Poland
I was hesitating what to do with the blog. Shall I stop writing? Definitely not. It is about English and I am an English teacher. At the moment I am in Poland. I have been here over a month. This time I didn't fly I drove. :) I crossed The Channel Tunnel and I really enjoyed my trip. It took me a little bit more than 24 hours but whenever I felt tired or sleepy I stopped for an hour or half an hour and then hit the road again. I will let you know more soon.
Today I am presenting a song of mine. I wrote it years ago and recorded in 2007.
Enjoy :)

Classical guitar - how it is bulit
Hi. As you certainly noticed I am fond of guitar music. Today I would like to share with you some Internet materials concerning this great instrument.
First of all - today we are talking, to be specific, about the classical guitar also known as: Spanish guitar, nylon-string guitar, classical acoustic or concert guitar.
To find more, including how are the names of the elements of this instrument, go to wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_guitar
And here is a nice film explaining how it is actually made.

And another one.
I am really happy about possibilities given by modern medias. We can learn from the best teachers how to play particular pieces of music. Below, for example, you can find a lesson - a tutorial how to perform BWV 998 on the guitar.
And here is a very nice performance by Belarussian (White Russian) guitarist Tatyana Ryzhkova
A few days ago a visited a small place, a village I guess, named Verwood.

Grota Fingala
There are many photos on the Internet of Grota Fingala. Wikipedia says:
'Fingal's Cave is a sea cave on the uninhabited island of Staffa, in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland, known for its natural acoustics. The National Trust for Scotland owns the cave as part of a National Nature Reserve.'
That is a quotation from Wikipedia. If you click below, you are going to find more, including lovely pictures:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fingal%27s_Cave
Grota Fingala is also a title of Johann Kaspar Mertz's guitar composition.
I recorded it few years ago and maybe I will perform it live ones again, why not?

Boscombe Down Aviation Collection
Few days ago I visited Boscombe Down Aviation Collection. Below I present few photos.
It is not easy to describe everything especially if you are like me, an ignorant in this topic All I could say, nice planes and engines and stuff Ahaha. And there were volunteers: professionals, who used to be pilots years ago. They shared their expertise with visitors and it was a real pleasure to listen to their stories.
Well, recently I recorded and published two new pieces of music.
